Circus of the Absurd is a juggling club run by jugglers, for jugglers. It was set up by local young juggler Luke Galloway as a safe space to meet up, practice, and share skills. Although it runs primarily as a youth group, jugglers of all ages are welcome- from 8 to 80! In fact, you don't even have to be a juggler - you can unicycle, spin poi, diabolo, stilt walk, cup stack, do magic, it's up to you.

We rent a hall at Harrogate High School, which is a great place to practice with lots of room. We meet every Thursday, 7-9pm, and also run trips to juggling conventions, and youth arts festivals.

We are a not-for-profit organisation- the entrance fee pays our rent, and insurance. We also get funding from various community funds, and lots of help from our local juggling trader Butterfingers

We always have at least 2 adult, CRB checked volunteers in attendance. However, we believe the best way for young people to learn new skills is from each other

Thanks to funding from the local authority and BJC08 the club have been able to organise trips to conventions and circus performances, hold workshops, and buy equipment for members to use.
